A Tribute to Josephine Bracken’s Bravery and Love of Country
You are cordially invited to an exquisite cultural confluence where the emerald soul of Ireland meets the sun-drenched spirit of the Philippines. The Artist, Lili Marjorie H. Gualberto, presents her inaugural solo exhibition—a masterful dialogue of history and aesthetics staged within the resonant embrace of the Newry Library, Northern Ireland.
The Narrative
In an evocative exploration of lineage and longing, Marjorie pays homage to Josephine Bracken, the "lost daughter of Ireland." This collection illuminates Josephine’s endurance and her profound romance with the Philippine national hero, Dr. José Rizal.
More than a retrospective, the artist presents a visual advocacy, reclaiming Josephine’s place in the pantheon of heroes. It is a celebration of a woman who navigated revolution with grace, uniting disparate worlds through the force of her devotion.
The Collection
The residency marks the highly anticipated debut of Marjorie’s original art pieces alongside her premier jewellery collection—where narrative depth meets meticulous craftsmanship.
